To counter the rivals, RAM 1500 is being released in a few limited edition models for 2018. These limited edition models are costlier than standard 1500 trims but they are aimed at niche buyers too! One example is the new 2018 RAM 1500 Copper Sport, slated for 2018. Only 3000 units of this special trim will be built by FCA, as per the updates.
2018 RAM 1500 Copper Sport – Design and Body
The USP of the Ram 1500 Copper Sport edition is its unique exterior hue, along with some other enhancements in styling. Built on the RAM 1500 Sport trim, The Copper Sport gets a unique hue- first time in the history of RAM lineup. Mike Manley, Ram brand’s head in FCA global stressed on the importance of making new models to meet growing customer needs for trucks with enhanced facilities and styling. The bright Copper hue is enticing and it gets coupled with black accents and black decals on the hood of the truck. Its polished 22-inch aluminum 5 spoke wheels add to the oomph. However, 4WD versions get smaller 20 inch wheels. Grille also gets body color and same is true of the side mirrors. It is sold only in crew cab setup.
Interior:
The cabin of RAM 1500 Copper Sport 2018 also gets special treatment to make it stand apart from cabin of regular trims! The Copper-colored accent stitching gives the upholstery a classy look and copper theme continues in dashboard and other parts of the cabin. The cabin is roomy and seats are quiet comfortable, as it is. Front row gets Black deluxe cloth bucket seats.
2018 RAM 1500 Copper Sport – Engine
Since the Ram 1500 Copper Sport edition is based on the RAM 1500 Sport trim, it is equipped with the tried and tested 5.7-liter Hemi V8 engine. It is a powerful engine and accelerates fast. Ride quality is pretty good and FCA has used enhanced suspension to tackle rough terrains with ease. The engine aided by eight-speed transmission gearbox generates 395 hp and has enhanced fuel saving tech embedded.

Like the regulator Sport trim in Ram 1500 Lineup, the 2018 RAM 1500 Copper Sport gets laden with enough safety etch and facilities for the buyers. The safety features like airbags, traction control, rearview camera and lane keep assists are there.
FCA has used the new edition of UConnect infotainment setup in the truck. It has been revamped to great effect and touch response and feature set is very good. Along with support for Bluetooth it has option for navigation. You get features like heated front seats, heated steering wheel, and climate control and halogen projector headlamps. The truck also gets laden with a nice Alpine premium sound system with subwoofer and 9 speakers.

The 2018 RAM 1500 Copper Sport is now available for sale. Its price begins at $45,630 and destination charge is extra. There are many things that you will like about the 2018 RAM 1500 Copper Sport. The new exterior coat and exterior styling with decals and black accents are stylish. It also gets a revamped and stylish cabin. The powertrain is superb and FCA has also used revamped infotainment setup in the model. The pricing is a bit steep compared to the regular Sport trim but it is justified given the extra features and boost in styling.
