2023 Toyota Tacoma TRD Pro Changes and Price

The 2023 Toyota Tacoma TRD Pro is the most interesting model in the lineup and probably the entire mid-size truck market. The best-selling pickup pumps up the off-road version with plenty of cool additions. But, the upcoming model is more than interesting since Toyota announces a revisit of all TRD Pro packages. Well, there are not too many vehicles that will offer such an upgrade. Besides the Tacoma, you can find the TRD Pro trim for Tundra trucks, and 4Runner and Sequoia SUVs.

For now, the truckmaker is not announcing details. The existing version is already packed with many advanced options for the best 4×4 adventures. Nevertheless, upcoming changes should refresh the interest and draw more attention. Higher ground clearance is one of the potential upgrades. Also, the new engine is not impossible, not only for the 2023 Toyota Tacoma TRD Pro, but for all other versions.

Upgrades

The truck will keep most of the options for the new version. We don’t see a better replacement for the unique Fox suspension. Of course, special skid plates will wear the TRD Pro badge. Exhaust system might be under the revisit, since small modifications can improve the overall impression. Compared to the rest of the lineup, the TRD Pro also offers hood scoop. The moonroof is standard and the truck offers dual-zone climate control.

The off-road drive is not in doubt. But, the 2023 Toyota Tacoma TRD Pro also uses leather upholstery to improve the comfort, and front row is heated. Audio system is also upgraded. An all-wheel drive is standard, obviously, and wheels are wrapped in the all-terrain rubber.

2023 Toyota Tacoma TRD Pro vs Competition

Truckers love off-road packages. Every mid-size pickup is going to offer an upgrade to improve the 4×4 ride. The TRD Pro makes Tacoma the top truck and the upcoming upgrade should cement this place. It won’t be easy, since the next-gen Chevy Colorado is coming. This is already the main rival to 2023 Toyota Tacoma TRD Pro when equipped with the ZR2 package.

The Ford Ranger Raptor is still unavailable in the US. The Blue Oval company won’t wait for too much more before they storm into market with this off-roader. Jeep Gladiator is Wrangler in the truck form. The best 4×4 SUV carries everything over to the pickup version. Finally, people always forget about the Nissan Frontier Pro-4X. Be sure that the performance of this truck is at the same level with other mentioned models.

When Will 2023 Toyota Tacoma TRD Pro Be Available?

The truckmaker is going to update the entire TRD Pro lineup very soon. The mid-size truck might not be a priority at the moment, since the next-gen Tundra is out and this pickup needs to refresh everything. Plus, the all-new Tacoma should be launched by 2024. The company could wait with an update of the best package and release it with the rest of the lineup. Anyway, the price of the all-new model will exceed $50,000. For that money, you can buy a larger, iconic Ford F-150 Raptor.
