2020 Holden Colorado Specs and Prices

The 2020 Holden Colorado will probably come unchanged. The company is not announcing anything big for the popular ute, and we can’t find spy photos of test mules. Still, Colorado remains one of the most versatile working trucks in Australia and New Zealand. Available as a pickup or a chassis truck, there are few configurations we can make of it. Also, buyers will have to choose a proper trim level for some models, and all utes are using manual and automatic drivetrain.

Holden is an Australian brand that imports vehicles to this part of the world. Behind Lion’s badge, we can find famous SUVs and cars, such as Astra or Trailblazer. Colorado is the only pickup truck or locally-known as a ute. Fans expected more changes on the vehicle whose current generation debuted in 2011. However, Chevrolet, the parent company, is set to launch the next-gen model in 2022. Holden Colorado will then appear as the all-new ute.

2020 Holden Colorado Options

Buyers will choose between ute and chassis cab. The first one offers two configurations. Space Cab is a two-door five-seat layout, and the Crew Cab pickup easies the access thanks to additional doors. The cabin is larger and further options are available. First of all, Space Cab is not available with 4×2 drive, and it offers only LTZ trim level. On the other hand, 2020 Holden Colorado Crew Cab adds three more packages. The base ute is LS, mid-range is LT, and the LTZ is a top trim. If you need more off-road skills by your truck, then there is a Z71 model.

Chassis Cab adds a Single cab configuration to Space Cab and Crew Cab. All of them are available with the LS package. Some setups will require additional options. The 4×4 is standard, and you can also pick 4×2 with Crew Cab and Single Cab.

Rivals

Australian ute market is pretty crowded. The 2020 Holden Colorado will have its base of fans, but there are also few new models coming to spoil the party. Definitely, Ford Ranger is one of the best alternatives, especially its Raptor model. Nissan Navara is also very popular, and it serves as the base for Mercedes X-Class luxury trucks. Isuzu D-Max is slightly cheaper. In this area, you will find Toyota Land Cruiser 70 Series pickup trucks still being very popular.

The price of the 2020 Holden Colorado will start at 30,000 AUD (chassis cab, manual transmission, 4×2). Automatic gearbox adds $2,000. Pickup truck ute costs $36,000. LT trim level is $3,000 more, and LTZ costs $43,000. Top of the range off-road Z71 ute is going to cost more than $70,000.
