It is not a secret that next-gen Tahoe and Suburban SUV are getting a new setup. Independent rear suspension is finally becoming available for the full-size class. Ford is taking advantage of this system for more than 10 years. Besides SUVs, the 2021 Silverado 1500 could borrow some solutions to make its ride more comfortable. Plus, the IRS boosts the off-roading and cornering. Downsides are the performance on the straight-line and the cost of maintenance.
What’s more, experts believe that the platform is more suitable for electrification. Although there are no too many GM models with hybrid or EV setup, the Silverado could get such a unit pretty soon. Hummer electric truck is one of the ideas and it will probably use the IRS.

The 2021 Silverado 1500 is still a fresh model with a new look and modern features. However, Ford plans to launch the next-gen F-150 next season and GM will need something to respond to threats. The interior update is always a good idea to bring more young buyers. Details are not available yet, but sources claim the most changes are coming for upper trim levels. Well, the average price paid for a truck is more than $40,000, which means buyers are not saving for the extra equipment. Currently, the top of the class version is High Country.

Chevy is already a leader in the segment with the number of configurations it offers. You can choose cab and bed styles, drive modes, engines, trim levels, and optional packages. Next season, we will see some novelties, and the first one is the Realtree Edition. It is coming with unique graphics and trims. You will have to purchase the Trail Boss trim to upgrade it with the Realtree package. Previously, the same edition was available in 2016.
Besides the new one, we must mention some of the coolest upgrades already available for the truck, which will 2021 Silverado 1500 carry over. The Redline package is a popular suite of features not only for a pickup but also for Traverse SUV. The unique package is Carhartt, which becomes available for the 2020 YM.
