So, engineers are going to prepare a special tuning of a 6.2-liter engine available for the Mustang Shelby GT500. If everything goes right, the Raptor R is going to create more than 750 horsepower. It will be enough to beat Ram Rebel Hellcat in all segments.
Still, there is a lot of questions about the compatibility between the truck and a huge displacement. Some say a 7.3-liter Godzilla might be a solution. It is creating 430 horsepower and 480 lb-ft in the Super Duty trucks. With, with a boost by turbochargers, the engine is going to be capable of cracking up high numbers. Ford has to react fast. Ram is already out with the performance truck, and GM will be there soon as well, either as the ZR2 or ZRX. Current Raptor is around $50,000 and the boost of 300 horsepower will increase the price by at least $30k.
