Experts believe Ford will test the market with the small pickup called Courier or Maverick.
2022 Ford F-250 Diesel, Towing Capacity
Under the hood of the 2022 Ford F-250 you will find a couple of petrol engines, plus an oil-burner. The Powerstroke diesel is one of the highlights of the lineup. A 6.7-liter unit can make 1,050 lb-ft of torque. However, the maximum twisting power is reserved for the F-350. The Series 2 truck is getting “only” 450 horsepower and 935 pound-feet of torque. The towing capacity for this configuration is 20,000 pounds, which is more than 17k less than its larger sibling.
A well-known 6.2-liter V8 is still there. Many experts question its future now when the 7.3-liter engine joined the lineup. The first one is offering 385 hp, and the new unit adds 45 ponies. Also, there is the same difference between torque outputs. A smaller block is creating 430 lb-ft, while the bigger one is capable of delivering 475 pound-feet. However, petrol units are not as capable as a diesel, so the towing capacity takes a significant hit.
Which 2022 Ford F-250 is the Best?
Last year, Ford introduced a new package. It is a special 4×4 vehicle. But, it is not Raptor, like some rumors suggested. The 2022 Ford F-250 Tremor will be back for all the fans looking for an adventure. It is an exclusive package which is not going to be available on any other vehicle, neither for the F-350. It comes with terrain management system, and also features Trail Control. You can combine this package only with a 7.3-liter petrol or a diesel engine. Of course, there are some off-road upgrades, similar to these we can find in FX4 bundle.
Besides Tremor, you will find many other cool trim levels. Unfortunately, the Raptor is not one of them. If you want a premium impression, then the 2022 Ford F-250 Limited is the best choice with wireless charging, leather seats, moonroof, and all-wheel drive. The most affordable option is the entry-level XL. The best-buy is the Lariat, or if you want to spend slightly more, then King Ranch.
