In that case, the towing capacity of the Avalanche is not about to impress anyone. But, its purpose is to deliver small cargos in the tight city streets. On the other hand, GM is discontinuing subcompact crossovers, Chevy Trax and Buick Encore. That is definitely not because of the room needed for the small truck.
It is also hard to believe that the 2023 Chevrolet Avalanche might take some spot in any of the larger classes. General Motors have both mid- and full-size segments covered with two models, badged with Chevy and GMC logos. So, adding the third option (rival) would be nonsense. However, what GM really needs is a performance truck, something to compete with Ram TRX and Ford Raptor R. Nevertheless, bringing back an old nameplate, totally different than it was, is not the best move.

Finally, there is the 2023 Chevy Avalanche Electric truck possibility. At this point, it seems to be more likely than any other speculations. General Motors is electrifying many vehicles and one pickup truck is already on the way. Hummer is now a pickup and a vehicle that will wear a GMC badge. Chevrolet electric pickup is not announced yet. Since the company revived Hummer, it is not impossible to see another old nameplate being back in the markets. Like for the rest of the lineup, the size of the motor for the 2023 Avalanche electric will depend on its dimensions.

With a shortage of details about the Avalanche, we can’t predict the future of the 2023 Chevy Avalanche. The fact is that electric vehicles are in demand and GM is expanding its offer. Still, the development is not cheap and truckers are not so keen on EVs. The situation is the same with Cadillac Escalade EXT. The lack of interest in luxury trucks is the stumbling block for the company to start building it again. Nevertheless, it is nice to see that Avalanche is not forgotten and that there are buyers waiting for the resurrection of the popular truck.
