The aluminium body panels are however held by a robust steel ladder frame. It’s tailgate section also looks impressive and sleek and front bumper has Tow hooks. The cab configurations are- four-door SuperCrew, extended SuperCab and two-door regular cab. Most trims get underbody skid plates and fog lights.
Interior:
Even the cabin of 2018 Ford F-150 Diesel looks revised and more upscale. The lavishness increases in upper trims. The large touch screen and quality leather is something you rarely see in mainstream pickup trucks. As per the cab configuration, the seating capacity varies. In both SuperCab and SuperCrew models, you can fold back rear seat to accommodate more luggage.

It will be mated with a new 10-speed automatic transmission system. The engine is said to be fuel saver thanks to embedding auto stat and stop technology.

The 2018 Ford F-150 Diesel series trims include XL, XLT, Lariat, King Ranch, Limited, Platinum. The base trim gets rubber floor while upper trims get Leather seats and new SYNC 3 infotainment system. Smartphone integration is fully supported. In a limited trim, you get two-tone leather seats, seat heating, massaging, panoramic moonroof, 360-degree camera system and a premium audio system.
There are quite a few packages like STX sports appearance package which can be applied on XLT models that bring in 18-inch wheels, skid plates. King Ranch models bring chrome exterior accents, contrast accent stitching, two-tone paint etc. Lariat trim gets Sony premium audio setup, parking assistance.
In a platinum trim, you get LED headlights, remote start, ambient lighting, 20-inch wheels, and navigation along with wood trim. In Limited Trim, there are dual-panel moonroof, 22-inch wheels, unique grille and around-view camera. Audiophiles can opt for the B&O PLAY audio system.
While the 2018 Ford F-150 series has plenty of safety features most of these are standard in top 2 trims. These include Adaptive Cruise control, Pre-Collision Assist, blind-spot monitoring system, lane-keeping assist etc. Airbags and traction control are there too.

The 2018 Ford F-150 Diesel will be made available for sale soon. The pricing is yet to be announced but trims that get the Turbo diesel engine may be priced upwards of $50000. The 2018 Ford F-150 Diesel is a compelling pickup truck that has enough bells and whistles to woo the buyers. From the stylish exterior to the new powertrain, it ticks most of the boxes. The enhanced amenities work in its favour as well.
