2018 Nissan Titan Warrior Changes, Price

Not all pickup trucks are made with same purpose or target buyers in mind, as it is. Nissan which has been among the backbenchers in pickup truck segment is in the mood to grab some market share from market leaders like Ford and GM. The new 2018 Nissan Titan Warrior is aimed at dethroning off duty centric models like Toyota Tacoma TRD Pro and Ford’s famous F-150 Raptor from their positions. The concept vehicle showcased in 2016 managed to hog enough attention and now the company is preparing to unleash the production version. It was showcased at North American International Auto Show.

2018 Nissan Titan Warrior – External Body Parts and Inner Cosmetic Changes

The Nissan Titan Warrior 2018 has some resemblances with the regular Titan XD pickup, for sure. It shares the same wheelbase and length of XD Crew Cab. The exterior looks rugged and stylish. To ensure the truck gets equipped with off-road tires on specially made 18 inch aluminum-alloy wheels, Nissan has increased height to 81.5 inches. The truck is also wider than the Titan XD by 6 inches. Its styled LED headlights add to the visual oomph as does the carbon fiber spoiler.

At back, there are quad tailpipes. It is quite a stunner- no matter which angle you look at it from. The hood vents are not for cosmetic purposes- they actually suck in cool air to keep the powerful diesel engine running without getting overtly hot. Nissan has used a skid plate to ensure engine parts get protection from rocks. The LED off-road lights are mounted on top.

The paint comprises of matte-gunmetal hue and “Magma” orange and black accents. The sporty theme continues in cabin of the 2018 Nissan Titan Warrior pickup. The seats are wrapped with carbon-colored fabric with “Magma” orange accents. You get enough leather and carbon fiber in the cabin. The steering wheel is made of single block of aluminum. The center console has drink containers in it.

2018 Nissan Titan Warrior – Modification under the Hood

It is only natural that Nissan will use a very powerful engine inside the hood of 2018 Titan Warrior pickup- given its off road centric in nature. It gets the tried and tested Cummins V8 5.0-liter Turbo Diesel unit. Also, it is paired with an Aisin 6-speed automatic transmission gearbox. The payload and towing capacity may be more than that of Titan XD.

Nissan has not revealed the exact pricing of upcoming 2018 Nissan Titan Warrior. However, it is expected to be costlier than the Titan XD model. The release date could be in early or mid-2018.

The 2018 Nissan Titan Warrior is not a run of the mill pickup- as it is clear. Its macho and rugged styling and powerful engine makes it a top contender in off road ready pickup segment. With right pricing it can give stiff challenge to the Tacoma TRD Pro or F-150 Raptor.

  1. If Nissan was smart, they’d give preferential financing/factory discounts to anyone trading in a Raptor or TRD Pro. This isn’t rocket science, dollars drive consumers, and loyalty to a car brand today is only skin deep. Of course, if they keep hording information on the truck people will move on from the truck, like I’m about to do, and just re-up with another Raptor.
