2023 Toyota Tundra TRD Pro News and Updates

The 2023 Toyota Tundra TRD Pro will be one of the most exciting trucks in the market next year. The package drew a lot of attention back in 2015 when the package debuted. Now, the truck is all-new, and the company is about to upgrade its toughest off-road package. In the original lineup, besides Tundra, were Tacoma and 4Runner. In 2021, Sequoia joined the squad, and we could also see more additions in the foreseeable future.

Well, the nature of the 2023 Tundra TRD Pro remains the same – it is an off-road oriented package. Rivals in the market will be Ford F-150 Raptor and Nissan Titan Pro-4X. The new engine is one of the main advantages Toyota can count on. The I-Force Max delivers more power than an old V8 unit. But, the focus here is on the TRD Pro features and upgrades. A lighter version, TRD Sport, is also about to be revisited.

The 2023 Toyota Tundra TRD Pro is still going to be based on the Limited package, but with features that will improve the off-road drive. To ride smoother on the rough terrain, the company is going to add all-terrain tires. The wheels won’t be too big. Expect the comeback of 18-inchers, with the new design. Optionally, you can pick larger wheels. A unique suspension is going to lift the body by at least 1 inch. Skid plates are there to protect parts, especially under the truck. Fox delivers dampers. This company is the best in the segment. Of course, rear locking differential is there to boost the traction. We hear engineers are working on the new Crawl Control system. Simplified – this is cruise control for off-road terrain at low speed.

I-Force Engine Specs

When the news came out, many fans were worried about the switch – instead of an old and reliable 5.7-liter V8, a new turbo-six configuration was there for the truck. But, the I-Force is going to make the 2023 Toyota Tundra TRD Pro more competitive. Well, the main rival in the 4×4 truck world, Ford Raptor, is using a V6.

A 3.5-liter mill is delivering 389 hp and 479 lb-ft of torque (actually, the displacement is 3,445 cc). That would be enough for most off-road adventures. A ten-speed is a power router, and it sends power to all wheels. We’ll see if any modifications will be there for the drivetrain system. For the 2023 Tundra TRD Pro, the company might offer the I-Force Max configuration, with extra power and torque. This system is good for 437 hp and 580 lb-ft.

  1. Wonder ering if Toyota fixed the twin turbo problem in the 2023s. If they have not addressed this problem than I guess buing a 2023 is out of the question. I hate to stick with Ford since they cant get parts for their problems and recall but and thats a BIG BUT. I may have to look at Ford, Dodge and last Chevy truks. Help.
