Ram trucks are well known for its special editions. Mojave Sand package is one of them and it is available for the 2020 Ram 2500 Power Wagon. The company rarely brings back such upgrades, but Mojave Sand was one of the most popular offers before the HD pickup suffered a big redesign. Now, the Mojave Sand edition is coming with even more options.
This version is built on the 2020 Ram 2500 Power Wagon truck. A 6.4-liter Hemi engine is standard, as well as the 8-speed automatic gearbox. The Power Wagon model comes with the Crew Cab configuration and you will be able to choose the box length. The GVWR rating feature increases towing capacity. Atop of that, the Mojave Sand edition also adds unique touches to make this model even more appealing.
2020 Ram 2500 Power Wagon Specs
The Ram 2500 Power Wagon is a trim level that uses only a 6.4-liter V8 Hemi drivetrain. The rest of the lineup is getting power from a smaller V8 displacement, or the most popular turbodiesel Cummins mill. However, these two are not part of the Power Wagon package.
The drivetrain can produce 410 horsepower and 430 pound-feet of torque. Through an eight-speed automatic gearbox, the power is distributed to the rear or all wheels. Optional AWD costs $2,000 more. The GVWR packages are standard for the Power Wagon.
2020 Ram 2500 Power Wagon – Mojave Sand Features
Besides the standard offer, FCA decides to bring back the Mojave Sand package for its heavy-duty truck. As its name suggests, upgrades will make the pickup more suitable for desert runs. Higher stance and special tires will help you get out of most tricky situations.
The company took advantage of the sales records which were showing that most Ram 1500 trucks are being sold in beige color. They launched the same paintjob for the HD version and added it only to the tough Power Wagon trim. Other upgrades include black 17-inch wheels and interior revisit. Inside, we find black upholstery and a large touchscreen display. Power-folding heated mirrors are standard, and the bed is getting LED lighting.
The 2020 Ram 2500 Power Wagon Mojave Sand is not upgrading the drivetrain system. However, the ride will draw more attention thanks to the unique paintjob and finishes around the pickup.
Optional Packages
Mojave Sand is not the only suite of features you can add to the new Ram 2500 Power Wagon. There are also two levels of infotainment packages, with the upper one coming with premium Alpine audio system, heated front, and rear seats, dual-zone automatic climate control, power-adjustable pedals, and rain-sensitive wipers.
Price
The base price of the 2020 Ram 2500 Power Wagon is $54,000. From there starts upgrade – all-wheel drive costs $2,000 and the larger 8-feet bed is increasing the price by $2,200. The new Mojave Sand package will cost $1,000 and Power Wagon level 2 equipment group is the most expensive upgrade. It will cost $6k. Heavily loaded, the Power Wagon trim level can cost almost $70,000.
